Son of Stephen Edward and Ethel Maud Brown of Mosman, NSW
Flight Lieutenant Stephen Watson Brown 413849 served with Number 156 Squadron RAF and Number 7 Squadron RAF as an Observer. On 1 April 1944 he was posted to Number 582 Pathfinder Squadron RAF and promoted to Flight Lieutenant. He was killed during air operations, when Lancaster aircraft ND814 was hit by flak and exploded over the French town of Rennes
