Ronald William Leonard BROWNBILL was born in Glebe, Sydney, NSW on 28th March, 1905
His parents were William Joseph BROWNBILL & Eleanor Isabella SHEEL
He enlisted in Paddington in Sydney on 24th June 1940
Ronald was taken as a Prisoner of War by the Japanese and was in Changi Prisoner of War Camp
He died from Illness (Dysentry) on 12th January, 1944 and is buried in the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and the POW Memorial in Ballarat, Victoria
