Son of James Gibson Burgess and Ena May Burgess of Turramurra, NSW
Leading Aircraftman John Royston McDonell Burgess 443673 was attached to Number 19 Replenishment Centre at Talmoi where he fell ill and subsequently died in Townsville (on 13 July 1945 he was in Richmond District Hospital, New South Wales)
