Family Connection
Carl Heinrich Burrell was born on the 27th April 1901, the son of Henry Lamb Burrell & Alice Maud Burrell (nee Raphael). His Grandparents were Peter Burrell & Martha Lamb Burrell (nee Jenkinson), also Gamboa Raphael & Elizabeth Raphael (nee Arundell). He had many siblings my grandmother being the eldest her name was Alice Maud Burrell, named after her mother. She married Charles Cinoris and had four children Raymond, Dorothy, Leonard, & my Mother Mavis Mary Cinoris. She later Married Roger Currey and had two children Stacey Currey and myself Stephen Currey. This is the only known photo of Carl and its been in my mothers possession since the death of her mother Alice in 1969. I decided to put this photo online because unfortunately Carl never married or had any children to carry on his name or memory. So at least this way any other relatives can have a chance to know what he looked like, and this way it may help continue not only his memory but the sacrifice he made for his family and country.
