460SQN Wellington Z 1412 crashed near Leiden on the Dutch Coast on the 8th of June 1942 - Sergeant Campbell was taken POW and died in Germany from his injuries (his brother Lang Campbell NX28995 also died as a POW)
All other known crew survived the war after being taken POW: Flight Lieutenant Douglas David Hurditch 402862 RAAF (discharged in 1975 as an Air Vice Marshal O21976) / Sergeant Eric Frances Maher 404448 RAAF (discharged December 1945) / Sergeant Tinkler 1006942 RAF / Flight Sergeant Henden 747961 RAF
