Biography

Edward Bartholemew CHAPMAN was born on 26th December, 1906 in Brisbane, Queensland

His parents were Arthur Ebenezer CHAPMAN and Marion Frances CROWTHER

Edward married Gladys Evelyn Matilda EULER on 22nd Febuary, 1938  - he was a Sapper with the 2/11 Field Company, Royla Australian Engineers & enlisted in Kelvin Grove, Queensland on 29th July, 1940

He was a prisoner of war & died on 10th May, 1944 & buried in Ambon War Cemetery - he is also commemorated on the WW2 Prisoner of War Memorial in Ballarat, Victoria and on the Roll of Honour in Ambon Cemetery & in Monto, Queensland
