Edward DAMPIER CROSSLEY was born in Christchurch, New Zealand on 19th January, 1921
His parents were Harry Maurice Croslegh DAMPIER CROSSLEY and Mabel Leslie RUTHERFORD
He enlisted in the RAAF in Sydney on 13th November, 1940 & became a Pilot Officer on 15th May, 1942 and a Flying Officer on 15th November, 1942
Edward died in a Flying Battle in Germany on 11th August, 1943 and is buried in the Durnbach War Cemetery
