Son of George Edmond and Margaret Ann Dickinson of East Geelong, Victoria
Leading Aircraftman Keith Ernest Dickinson 117834 was a cook at Number 31 Squadron based at Coomalie Creek, NT - he was shot and killed by another airman.
Also shot was the WOD (Warrant Officer Disciplinary) Warrant Officer Henry Thomas Cove 14337 who recovered from his wound and continued serving until he was discharged in September 1946 from North Eastern Area Headquarters
The incident is covered in Chapter 13 of the book “Coomalie Charlie’s Commandos - 31 Squadron RAAF Beaufighters at Darwin 1942-43”
The shooter (Aircraftman Maxwell Slicer 25389) was found Not Guilty of the murder of LAC Dickinson but was convicted for the attempted murder of Warrant Officer Cove
