Biography
William Royce DUNDERDALE was born on 18th May, Brisbane, Queensland
His parents were William Charles DUNDERDALE and Victoria WOODWARD
He enlisted with the Royal Australian Air Force on 14th June, 1944
William died when the plane he was travelling in on his way home from the war (Dakota A65-61) crashed during bad weather on 18th September, 1945 in Biak Island, Dutch New Guinea - he is buried in Port Moresby (Bomana) War Cemetery and is also commemorated on the Australian War Memorial

DUNDERDALE.- In proud and loving memory of my dear son, our brother, nephew and brother in law, 170241, Leading Aircraftman William Royce (Roy) Dunderdale, R.A.A.F. believed to have lost his life in air operation on 18th September, 1945.
