Son of Thomas and Helen Catherine Duns, of Hawthorn, South Australia.
Able Seaman Watson Jerdan Duns, 30, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Duns, of Oval Avenue, Hawthorn, was born in Scotland and came to Adelaide in 1913. When 15 he first applied to join the R.A.N. but was not called up until two and a half years later. His service was to have ended last May, but he was continuing until after the war. His brother Acting W.O. George Duns is abroad with the A.I.F.
