Attack by Luftwaffe FW190 aircraft which damaged hotels in Bournemouth administered by RAAF Number 3 Personnel Despatch & Reception Centre as leave / recreation centres.

3PDRC operated in Bournemouth from July 1941 to January 1946 administering RAAF and some RCAF personnel.  21 airmen were killed in the raid: 3 members of the RAF; 13 RCAF and 7 RAAF
