James Alan Froude FLASHMAN was born in Sydney on 17th November, 1908
His parents were James Froude FLASHMAN & Irene Flora DEWAR who married in St Marys Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland on 11th March, 1904 - he had one sister Ann Flora Froude FLASHMAN
He married Evelyn Betty McINTOSH in Sydney in 1939
He enlisted in Sydney on 27th October, 1939 and was Killed in Action in Greece on 18th April, 1941 - he was buried in the Phaleron Waar Cemetery
His last rank was Captain with the 2nd /1st Field Ambulance
