Pilot Officer G.G. Foulkes crew member of Lancaster ND759 TL-R Crew position Navigator. Based R.A.F. Gravely , target Freidrichshafen Germany. Take off time 27 April 1944 at 2221 hours.Aircraft hit either by flak or night fighter possibly both. Aircraft ditched in Bodensee at 0230 hours 28th April 1944. Of the Seven crew 2 baled out others remained with aircraft on crash landing. Pilot Officer Foulkes did not escape the crash. 2 others evaded 1 made P.O.W. 1 interned.
