No known grave - "Known Unto God" Runnymede (Air Forces) Memorial, Surrey, England No known grave, it is believed his remains are still located in the spot where his plane crashed after being shot down by a German plane, the Lancaster crashed near the Hamlet of Hatenboer Holland, and at some stage, the Dutch AirForce will be excavating the site to see if they can locate his remains, 4 others died in that crash, while two others were taken prisoners , Runnymede Memorial, Surrey, England, United Kingdom |

His parents were Albert George GATES and Caroline Emma SPRING who married in WA in 1911
