Son of Norman Clarence and Veida Gazzard of Strathfield, NSW
Sergeant Gazzard 402115 of Number 452 Squadron RAAF was shot down into the sea off Dunkirk and his body washed ashore at Oostduinkerke, Belgium
He was flying Spitfire V AB785 on a mission escorting Blenheim bombers to Gosney - Flying Officer Eccleton 402232 was lost on the same mission.
