Leading Aircraftman Patrick Francis Goodger 118282 of 1 MPMU (Number 1 Mobile Parachute Maintenance Unit) was killed in a Motor Vehicle Accident near Rocky Creek
He was a passenger in Weapon Carrier 211418 which was proceeding to Rocky Creek Hospital when it collided with an Army Truck and then skidded across the road and struck an electric transmission line.
207789 CPL Byrnes (discharged October 1945), 130735 LAC Harmer (discharged April 1946) and 139192 LAC Raymond Thomas Bishop (probably A2645 discharged 1964) were injured in the collision.
