Aircraftman Milton Robert Gunning 36276 RAAF of Number 2 Service Flying Training School drowned in surf at Nambucca Heads, NSW
His sister, Corporal Violet May Gunning 93345 WAAAF, was killed in an aircraft crash at Archerfield Aerodrome, Queensland in March 1943
