Father Michael James CARMODY (b. 1862 - d. 02/09/1963 and 
Mother Mary Ellen Carmody (nee McManamny)
- b.1860 Ballarat, VIC - d. 11/11/1900 Fitzroy, VIC
  (buried together in Ballarat New Cemetery)
lived at 35 Clive Road, Upper Hawthorn, VIC on enlisting.
1923 moved to 5 Barkly Avenue, Malvern, VIC

Sister:  Margaret Emily (Rita) d. 26/10/1905 (5 years of age)

Lawrence and his brother Thomas were both student boarders at St Patrick's College,
Ballarat, Victoria.
