Ernest William Montgomery HOLLEBON wa born on 29th November, 1919 in Mosman, Sydney
His parents were Ernest HOLLEBON and Amy Irene MONTGOMERY who married in St Lukes Church Mosman on 5th June 1918
He enlisted with the Royal Australian Air Force on 23rd January, 1940 - he saw overseas service in the 10th Squadron
Ernest died in a motor bike accident while on leave in Victoria - he is buried in Lake Boga Cemetery in Victoria, Plot D, Row A, Grave 1
His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and the Roll of Honour in North Sydney.
His last posting was the 1 Flying Boat Repair Depot in Swan Hill, Victoria
His Father Ernest (SN1030) had 3 years active service abroad (AIF) & had served in naval & expeditionary forces in Rabaul. (WW1)
His brothers Donald Robert (SN6473) & Jack Lawrence (SN NX180022) both served in WW2

OBITUARY
AIRMAN FATALLY INJURED - Koondrook,
When he failed to negotiate a turn near Koondrook, Coffee Palace, late on Saturday night, LAC Ernest William Montgomery Hollebon, 23, RAAF was thrown from his motorcycle and received fatal injuries. Deceased, whose mother resides in North Sydney had seen service overseas with the no. 10 Squadron. He had been spending leave with friends at Koondrook.
