Lyle Charles Macquarie HOLSWICH was born in Bexley, NSW on 19th November, 1914
His parents were Charles Albert HOLSWICH & Vita Grace BURWOOD who married in the Mudgee Methodist Church on 26th December, 1911
He married Eileen Isabel JOLLY in Sydney in 1935 - one known daughter Jill
He originally enlisted as an Air Cadet on 4th December, 1933 & moved to No. 13 Squadron RAAF on 7th June 1942 as a Group Commander
His final rank was a Group Captain with the 86 Wing Headquarters in Labuan
Lyle died on 10th December, 1945 in an aircraft accident on the Labuan air strip

His father Charles Albert HOLSWICH (SN 1) served during WW1 in the 3rd Light Horse Regiment and returned to Australia on 7th November, 1915 - he was one of the original Anzacs - he died in Dural, NSW in 1935 - his wife Vita died on 30th October, 1970 in Launceston, Tasmania
