Corporal Terence Joseph Hutchinson 8719 and Flying Officer Ronald Gilbert Thomas 402552 were killed when De Havilland Dragon DH84 A34-25 of 42 Radar Direction Finding Wing crashed 15 miles south of Croydon, Queensland - the aircraft was transporting radar equipment from Garbutt to Inverleigh (313 Radar Station)
