Jacobs, Peter Acland (1915–1945)
A memorial to the late Peter Acland Jacobs was unveiled at the 1st Mont Albert Scout Hall, Surrey Hills, on Saturday, by Mr G. W. S. Anderson, Chief Commissioner for Victoria of the Boy Scouts Association.
Peter Jacobs, who was a scoutmaster at the time of his enlistment in the AIF, lost his life while a POW in the hands of the Japanese at Amboina. The memorial takes the form of a room to be used at headquarters, with a bronze tablet placed above the door.
