Clifford Cecil JONES was born on 8th July, 1920 in Windsor, Brisbane, Queensland
His parents were Abraham Clifford JONES and Elizabeth Maude McLELLAND who married on 2nd November, 1917 in Queensland
He enlisted in Perth, Western Australia on 23rd June, 1941 and embarked for overseas on 20th April, 1943
Clifford was listed as missing, death presumed on 8th July, 1944 after the Lancaster Bomber (LM338) he was in was shot down
He is buried with the rest of the crew in Courgent Communal Cemetery in France
Inscription on his headstone reads:
'A SON AND BROTHER, BELOVED AND EVER REMEMBERED"
His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and the Roll of Honour in Ballarat, Victoria

His brother Graham Hamley JONES served in WW2 in the Army (SN WX25160) and was discharged in 1945
