Son of Frederick Charles and Vida Azella Kearns of Maclean, NSW
Leading Aircraftman Kearns 63459 of Number 3 Mobile Works Squadron at Gould airstrip (Batchelor, NT) was caught in the caterpillar tracks of his bulldozer while attempting to dismount from it while it was in motion.
