"Death of Sgt. Colin Leach
Sgt. Colin Leach, RAAF, son-in law of Mr. and Mrs. E. Buck, Bay Road, Mt. Gambier, died at the Heidelberg Military Hospital on Sunday last, September 9, and was buried with full military honours on Tuesday. It will be remembered that his wife (nee Gladys Gwen Buck); died in Mt. Gambier on March 9 last. Sgt. Leach, whose home town was Minyip, Vic., was stationed at Ballarat with the RAAF until a month ago, and died after a short illness in hospital. The young couple were married at the Methodist Church, Mt. Gambier, in August last year." - from the Mount Gambier Border Watch 15 Sep 1945 (nla.gov.au)
