Gideon Elmore MARGERY was born on 22nd August, 1908 in Barnawartha, Victoria
His parents were Gideon James MARGERY & Pauline Elizabeth KLINGE
He enlisted on 21st September , 1942 and served as a Gunner in the Royal Australian Artillery - his last unit was 52 Australian Composite Australian Artillery
He returned to Australia and was discharged on 28th January, 1946
Gideon died of Illness on 19th March, 1947 in Wangaratta, Victoria and is buried in the Barnawartha Cemetery in Victoria - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial

His brother Benjamin George MARGERY (SN VX31555) also served in WW2 and died on 27th June, 1941
