Robert Bruce MEIKLEJOHN was born on 26th October, 1921 in Wagga Wagga, NSW
His parents were Robert George MEIKLEJOHN and Lily FAWCETT who married in Victoria in 1920
His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and on a Tablet of Honour at St Andrews Presbyterian Church in Downside, NSW
Roberts father Robert George MEIKLEJOHN (SN36859) served in WW1 in the Army and returned to Australia in 1919
His brother John MEIKLEJOHN (SN NX160920) & (SN203499) served in WW2 in the Army and was discharged in 1945
Another brother Maxwell George MEIKLEJOHN (SN PM4354) also served in WW2 in the Navy and was discharged in 1946
