Herbert Jack MOTHERSOLE was born in Brisbane on 28th December, 1918

His parents were Alfred MOTHERSOLE & Sarah Mary Jane PRIDDLE

He married Pearl Mary GILMORE in Queensland on 8th May, 1942

He had previously served in the Australian Army Service Corps before joining the 2nd/31st Infantry Battalion (SN 8656)

His brother Walter George MOTHERSOLE (SN QX16078) also joined the Army during WW2 and was discharged on 13th December, 1945  - 2/2nd Tank Attack Regiment
