Fenton Charles OLDMEADOW was born in Ivanhoe, Victoria on 5th July, 1917
His parents were James Anthony Vavau OLDMEADOW & Ethel Alleyn FENTON
He enlisted in Melbourne on 13th October, 1940 with the RAAF
Fenton married Florence May TEAGUE in the Ivanhoe Methodist Church in 1941
He died during a Flying Battle in Germany on 20th December, 1942 while in a Lancaster ED353 & is buried in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery in Kleve, Germany - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and the Roll of Honour in Heidleberg, Victoria - his last rank was Flight Lieutenant and he was with the 83 Squadron (RAF) at the time
