Pilot Officer Francis Russell Opray 428503 of 86 Squadron RAAF was killed when Mustang A68-501 crashed into the sea off Cape Palleranda, Queensland during a Test Flight
His body was not recovered and he is commemorated on Panel 5 of the Sydney Memorial
