Son of Rupert Stephen and Eileen Margaret Plumridge of Black Rock, Victoria
Sergeant James Rupert Plumridge VX86704 and Sergeant John Herbert Dahlberg VX35092 of "Z" Special Unit attempted to evade capture by Japanese forces by building a raft to move between islands in the Aroe group - their eventual fate is unknown and they are commemorated on the Ambon Memorial
