SEAMAN'S FUNERAL
The funeral of Ord. Seaman Cameron W. Reed, second son of Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Reed, Glasshouse Mountains, took place en Monday (18th December) at the Naval Cemetery, Lutwyche. O.S. Reed was buried with full naval honours, the pall bearers being members of the Royal Australian Nayy. At the conclusion of the burial service a salute of three volleys was fired by the firing party and buglers played the 'Last Post' and 'Rest.' Crd. Seaman Reed passed away after six weeks' illness caused by shock and severe burns when attempting to extinguish the fire which destroyed Mrs. W. Reed's home recently.
