Warrant Officer Ian Rennison 419704 was killed when Mustang KH806 of 3SQN RAAF crashed near Casarsa, Italy
Flight Lieutenant Davies led seven aircraft to escort Kittyhawk fighter-bombers from 450 Squadron to bomb the Casarsa rail diversion. After 450 Squadron had bombed, the Mustangs attacked the target and Warrant Officer Rennison crashed during his bomb dive. Padre Fred McKay searched for the crash site after the German surrender in May 1945 and conducted a proper burial service for Ian Rennison
