Born 22 Nov 1906 in England to parents Henry Patrick and Mabel Christina Smith.
D'Arcy married Helen Mae of Rivervale WA.
Living and working at Rosa Brook just out of Margaret River WA, D'Arcy enlisted on 30 May 1940 in Perth and held the rank of Corporal in th NT Force HQ.
He died of illness in Australia on 04 Dec 1942.
He is buried at the Adelaide river War Cemetery NT. grave ref G A 16
