Leslie George Studman was the son of George Edward and Daphne Ernestine Studman, of Osborne Park, Western Australia.

Flight Sergeant Leslie George Studman (Wireless Air Gunner) Air Operations was fulfilling his WAG role when (No. 461 Squadron Sunderland aircraft JM 676), was lost over Bay of Biscay, 29 November 1943.

Casualties continued to be high, for one Sunderland from each squadron (Nos 10 and 461) was shot down during the month (November 1943) and widespread searches failed to discover any survivors.
