KILLED IN BOMBER CRASH
Flying-Officer and Mrs Swift, of Newport, have been advised that their only son, Flying-Officer Sydney C. Swift, was killed on an operational flight on February 20, when the Lancaster bomber, of which he was a crew member, crashed at Zeelham, Belgium. Flying-Officer Swift, who was aged 20, was educated at Christian Brothers' College, North Melbourne, and before enlisting in the RAAF, was employed by the State Rivers and Water Supply Commission.
