Herbert Peter SWIRGSDIN was born on 20th October, 1918 in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England
His parents were Peter SWIRGSDIN & Hilda Alice WHITE who married in England in 1918 (registered in Lambeth)
He married Dorothy Jane O'NEILL in Queensland on 6th November, 1939 - one daughter Rachel
Herbert died of Illness in Queensland on 12th July, 1946 and is buried in the Lutwyche Cemetery in Brisbane
He was with the 1st Australian Watercraft Workshops (Australian Corp. Electrical & Mechanical Engineers - Australian Army - he returned to Australia and was discharged on 6th December, 1945

His father Peter SWIRGSDIN (SN 21275) came from Russia & served during WW1 in the Australian Army and was discharged home medically unfit after injury in 1918
