Profile Photo Description: - Studio portrait of WX2848 Sergeant James Pryor Thatcher, 2/3 Machine Gun Battalion. A dairy farmer of Byford, WA, he enlisted on 20 May 1940 in Perth. He was taken prisoner of war (POW) and died of illness, aged 28, in Thailand on 22 November 1943.
