Biography
William was the son of James and Margaret Brennan, from Wooloowin QLD. He was also the brother of David Cresswick Brennan, who was the father of the late Wing Commander William David Brennan RAAF, who was named in honor of his uncle.
William was aged 42 when he enlisted 3rd October 1914, quite old really, most of the enlistees were aged in late teens early 20s. We know very little about William, but he is honored here at the War Memorial Canberra every ANZAC day by Rita the widow of William David Brennan and Katherine and Andrew Brennan his great niece and nephew. RIP William, Australia owes you so much.
