Flight Sergeant Walsh 421479 of 84SQN RAAF was killed when Kittyhawk A29-522 crashed into the Gulf of Carpentaria off the coast from Gove in the Northern Territory - his body was not recovered and he is commemorated on Panel 6 of the Sydney Memorial
