Claude Harold Annesley, served in the Boer War, under his birth name Harold Jennings Sedgwick. He was Court Martialled at Natal in 1902, for stealing from the Army Pay Corps, and had his records and medals returned to British Government. He stole an identity, hopped on a ship and arrived in Queensland. Married Katie Isabelle Jillett, daughter of Queensland pioneers, and grand daughter of Robert Jillett, convict from Oatlands Tasmania. They married in 1912. He trained at MAckay in weaponry, and served for a short time on the Western Front, before being sent back to Australia. He was awarded a Soldiers Settlers block in Outback Queensland. Married in New Zealand bigamoiusly, partnered twice. Died a lonely old man, surrounded by his memories, and secure in the knowledge that his past would not be found. His father Rev James Sedgwick was a Missionary and Archealogist, his mother Ellen Jennings, daughter of clergy.
