Son of Charles Henry and Llouella White. Husband of Selma Ernestine White of Duranbah, NSW. William and Selma were married on the 25 July 1936
Death was originally stated as Meningitis but was later amended to Malaria

Prior to enlisting he had been apprenticed to John Close, Engineers of Darlington, NSW. He had also been employed with Arnolds Engineering Company, Sydney and Partiridge & Walker of Murwillimbah
