Thomas Hotspur ANGEL was born on 5th September, 1869 at Pinkertons Plains, South Australia

His parents were William ANGEL & Sarah MURRAY

He enlisted with the 3rd West Australian Citizens Bushmen - they left Fremantle, WA on 13th March, 1900 in the transport ship Maplemore and arrived in Beira on the 18th April, 1900

Thomas was wounded on 7th April, 1901 and subsequently died of enteric fever (typhoid) on 23rd April, 1901 -

He is listed on the Pietersburg Garden of Remembrance,, Limpopo, South Africa & Pietersbury (South Africa) Central Memorial, Australian War Memorial and also has a Memorial tablet which was unveiled on 12th January 1902 in St. Georges Cathedral, Perth, Western Australia

He was Mentioned in Despatches and also received the Distinguished Conduct Medal plus the Queens South Africa Medal with clasps.
