Granville Thomas COOPER was born on 3rd June 1878 in Burrowa, NSW (also known as Borrowa)

His parents were Solomon COOPER & Charlotte ELLIOTT who married in Burrowa in 1876

He enlisted in Burrowa in January 1900 and embarked with the NSW Citizens Bushmen, D Squadron on the ship Atlantian on 26th February, 1900

He died from a bullet wound to his stomach on 14th October, 1900 and was originally buried in Molopa Cemetery & later moved to Zeerust Cemetery in South Africa
