Donald John Roderick McLeod was born on 3 Jan 1872 in New Zealand, a son to George and Jane McLeod. On the NZ Historical BDM records his third given name is spelt Rodwick. It appears he left Wanganui in New Zealand in 1899 headed for Brisbane.
