Patrick John McNAMARA was born in Bega, New South Wales in 1869
His parents were Michael McNAMARA and Jane Veronica O'CONNOR who married in NSW in 1867 (registered in Eden)
He embarked from Sydney on the ship Ranee on 22nd March, 1901 and was Killed in Action on 26th June 1901 at Holfontein, South Africa
His brother Thomas Walter McNAMARA (SN 3649) also served during the Boer War with the 3rd NSW Imperial Bushmen
