Private Albert Thomas Palmer, of the South Australian Imperial Bushmen's contingent, has succumbed to enteric fever at Pretoria. He was 24 years of age, and single. Prior to going to South Africa, he was employed on a station.

His Excellency the Governor has received a cable message, confirming the news of the death of Trooper Albert Thomas Palmer, who died at Pretoria from enteric fever on March 10. Mrs. F. Palmer, mother of the deceased, is a resident of Mount Gambier.

A telegram from London on March 13 states that Private Albert Thomas Palmer, of the South Australian Imperial Bushmen's Contingent, is reported to have died of enteric fever at Pretoria. Priv. Palmer, who was 24 years of age, was a son of Mrs, J. W. Palmer, of Williamstown, Mount Gambier. The death of Priv. Palmer has been officially confirmed.
