Percy Richard ARSCOTT was born in Townsville, Queensland on 5th January, 1921
His parents were Percy Wilson ARSCOTT and Beatrice MOTTERSHEAD who married in Queensland on 22nd May, 1919
Percy accidentally drowned during air operations at Batticaloa, Ceylon on 1st May, 1945 - his body was never recovered
The plane was a Liberator, BZ 868 and was mine laying when it crashed

His brother Douglas William ARSCOTT (SN Q112715) served in the Army during WW2 and was discharged on 13th April, 1942 (26th Infantry Battalion)
