Edward James COSTELLO was born in Toowoomba, Queensland on 3rd March, 1906
His parents were Edward COSTELLO & Ada WAITE who married in Queensland on 26th April, 1904
He married Amy May PORTER on 19th November, 1930 in Brisbane - divorced in 1947 (two children Jim & Betty) - his 2nd marriage was to Evelyn Ann May CARNEY nee KEYES
He enlisted in Brisbane on 3rd March, 1941 in the Australian Army and was taken Prisoner of War in Java & Canu Jungle Camp, Thailand in 1943
He returned to Australia in 1945 and was discharged 14th November, 1945
Edward died in Brisbane on 19th February, 1991 and is buried in the Hemmant Cemetery & Crematorium in Queensland
