OBITUARY
Mr. Henry Dobe
On the 19th December last the death occurred at Cooroy of Mr. Henry Dobe, at the age of 69 years. He had resided in Coolum for the past 30 years. The late Mr. Dobe engaged in farming, particularly cane growing and also managed the affairs for the Coolum Land Syndicate on whose area he was growing cane until 1932. In recent years Mr. Dobe had managed Mr. Fred Walsh's dairy farm at Mt. Coolum. He carried out excellent drainage work in connection with the Coolum swamp project, and also had a good deal to do with the Coolum tramway. His interests were always devoted to the welfare and advancement of Coolum. He was a South African War veteran.
Deceased leaves his widow, four sons, Messrs. James (Cooroy). William (Yandina). Henry (Yeppoon) and Robert Dobe (Geelong Victoria), and three daughters, Mesdames T. McMahon (Brisbane) L. Peters (Cooroy) and Mrs Gantas (Sydney).
